The new events list gives the bare bones.
If music should float your boat, we have international, national and/or regional talent every weekend. We welcome Andy White, Kasim Sulton, The 'Perfect Combination' charity gig with a cast of thousands, (ahem), The Nicol Band, Steve Fulsham Band and closing the pre-Christmas music, The Mighty and the Moon's first new line-up proper gig on 17th. If more classical and less amplified music is your thing, the Christmas Showcase of Culture:Music is on the 8th and 16th and will be magical. Perhaps enjoy the laid back Imaginary Gardens, acoustic and spoken word on Thurs 15th.
Variety and comedy come to the fore for the Hull College Variety performances on 6th and 7th (with a surprise or two, I promise) and the darkest of dark comedy in ‘Captivating Christmas’ on 13th and 14th. You can be on the telly by joining us on Monday 12th December for the filming of ‘Culture Café’ by Estuary TV with performances by Half Deaf Clatch, Emma King and Audrey Dunne included.
Our biggest theatre investment yet is in welcoming back Hull’s Angel by Janet Plater. Running from Monday 19th through to a 1.00 Matinee on Christmas Eve, the play is very Hull, very funny and totally charming. It was first performed in the empty office space at 94 before the conversion to Kardomah94 started which gives the performance even more happiness before we even start.
Our biggest music investment yet is in BLUES & TWOs, our Festival of music to see in the New Year. Tickets are limited to give those who can come the best experience to catch again the magic of a New Year. Favourites of K94 are performing including Emma King, The Fronteers, Jackson D, Southstone, Half Deaf Clatch, The Nicol Band, Steve Fulsham Band and Rivers Johansson and The Deemed Unrighteous from 6.00 pm ‘till 2.00 am.
If you fancy getting a group together let me know and we’ll see how we can help further. If you fancy any or all of the above then tickets are available from K94 and Hull Box Office.
Please also look out for our Christmas single, ‘Bolognese if you pop in. All proceeds go to our Kardomah Donor scheme, supporting community and charity events at K94.
