Kardomah 94’s monthly restaurant/bar art show focusses on Bridlington painter Patricia Thompson in July 2016.
Patricia studied Fine Art at the Hull Regional Collage of Art, receiving a full classical training, followed by Interior Design in London and study in S>A>I>D Illustrators studio.
Being part of the London Scene in the 60's and then travelling widely, greatly contributed to her work which displays versatility and originality. Her pictures ranges from drawing and water colours to oil pastels and oil paintings and she both works in-situ and en-plein-air. Her work ranges from narrative illustration to far more refined studio work. Her skill allows her scope to extend from loose French café life to much tighter architectural and formal figurative pieces. Patricia's expressive work is known for its spontaneity, impressionism and atmosphere. This is created through line and a unique use of colour. Her works have been widely exhibited and sold in London, the UK and internationally with her customers including collectors, dealers and private buyers.
Her work can be seen in the café at Kardomah during the whole month of July.
